Leaders have created a safe culture in the school and engage well with parents, carers and other stakeholders to make sure that all pupils are supported and safe.
OFSTED December 2016
We take the safeguarding of children very seriously and do all we can to ensure their safety and to make sure that they feel safe. All adults who work with the children are CRB checked. We keep our school as safe and secure as possible for everyone. All visitors are asked to report to the school office and sign the visitors’ book. They then wear a badge, which is returned to the office when they sign out on leaving. In this way, they are identifiable to the children and staff as welcome visitors. Parents taking children out of school during the day are asked to sign them out too. All external doors are security locked and may only be opened from the inside. The perimeter of the school is kept as secure as is possible.
In the interests of Health & Safety, the school and its grounds are smoking-free zones. To further ensure the children’s safety, dogs may not be brought on to the school site.
